What a brave little girl! This 5 day old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy was accidentally stood on by her mum and sustained a broken leg (femur). After some very intricate surgery at Hamilton Vetcare, she now has a tiny pin in her leg, and is happily back drinking from mum with her six brothers & sisters.
Chocolate contains the ingredient theobromine, which is toxic to animals. Even in small doses, chocolate can cause vomiting, diarrhoea and excessive thirst. In large doses it can lead to abnormal heart rhythm, tremors, seizures, and death.
